Age distribution of TikTok users in Hungary in 2019

In 2019, TikTok was undoubtedly attracting the younger generation in Hungary, as the biggest share of TikTok users was between the ages of 15 and 18 years old, measuring at nearly 40 percent. Only four percent of Hungarian users were over the age of 24 years.

Social media in Hungary

As of 2019, almost one-third of Hungarians used four or more social media platforms. Since TikTok started to gain popularity only in the last years, the most widely used social media platforms in 2020 still remained Facebook, YouTube, and Messenger, with approximately five million users, respectively.

Most popular Hungarians on TikTok

As of May 2020, Jázmin Hollósi was the most popular Hungarian TikTok influencer based on the number of followers, which totalled almost seven thousand. However, considering the number of likes, Jázmin only came third, while Lara Schobert took first place in the ranking with almost 69 million likes on the platform. At the same time, Lara’s videos were valued between 66 and 164 thousand forints.
